Minerva Academy FC continued its dream run at the Helsinki Cup 2025, storming into the Round of 16 with a dominant 7-0 win over Finnish club GrIFK in the knockout opener.
After a flawless group stage — four wins, 24 goals scored, none conceded — the Indian side extended its clean sheet streak to five matches, taking its goal tally to 31 without reply.

Facing GrIFK, a reputed Finnish club known for its strong grassroots system, Minerva imposed control from the start with relentless pressing and sharp passing. Raj starred with a brilliant hat-trick, while Chetan, Yohenba, Rajesh and Reesan added a goal each in a commanding performance.
Minerva’s backline remained impenetrable, the midfield dictated play, and the forward line converted chances clinically. Having topped a group featuring clubs from Iceland and Finland, the Chandigarh-based side has now emerged as a serious title contender, no longer just underdogs, but a force making waves across Helsinki.
